In the Capital
Rio de janeiro
Rio de Janeiro climate is tropical hot and humid – with
variations in temperature due to differences in altitude, vegetation
and proximity to the ocean. The average annual temperature is
24ºC (75 ºF). In winter the daily average temperature
is 22ºC (71.6 ºF) and in summer it hovers around 26ºC
(79 ºF) but can reach 38ºC (100.4ºF), with brief
downpours late in the afternoon.
