How could it? Rua das Pedras holds a great amount of beauties made in miles. Short skirts start a disloyal fight and frighten any jury who tries to come advising… The audience here never dares to say its preferences and even the classiest ones cheers loudly in approval for the “short clothes culture”. Thank God for the
hippie chic tendency. As the beach culture goes on leaving people short-breathed… Everyone wants to be part of this new kind of entertainment; it only takes a break in work and

Just a bit of history
Originally a small fishing village, once home of French pirates and maintained by local slave dealers, Buzios is now a touristic worldwide reference. There are more than 20 paradisiacal beaches making together a highly sophisticated spa, known for an authentic and agitated night life. “Brazilian Ibiza”, would be the best term for it… Summer’s coming; the town’s crowded, fought over by travelers from all over the world. At low seasons, though, Armação de Buzios turns into an oasis filled with restaurants, art, nature, fashion and refined taste. But its tradition as an upscale resort began in the sixties, with the coming of French actress Brigitte Bardot, a runaway from paparazzis. A tradition that would never change…
A way in rocks
Caminho das Pedras as it’s known, meaning “rock way”, is surrounded by the best restaurants and the most splendid international brands, getting together the most classy things in modern culture. Just a small difference: houses in exchange for buildings. Instead of neon lights, nature. There are no cars, nor public transport. Either way, everything happens here. This is Rua das Pedras: a street where you can taste the best of the urban way: fashion, art, culinary, culture. There are craft expositions, art galleries… No matter what’s the style, modern or sophisticated, this city looks like a contemporary mosaic. Be it in a crowded dance club, or hearing some classic jazz songs coming from the pubs, enjoy yourself staying with your friends, meeting beautiful and sun burnt people and, above all, enjoy the

Bardot coast and Rua das Pedras. That’s where sin addresses to, I mean, city pleasures. If, by the day, we have all kinds of beaches to explore, by night, good options for shopping, eating and dancing will never let you down…
Even the stores, many of them sophisticated, go on with the fever taking control of Buzios night, no chance to close the doors… Amongst them, many bars and restaurants decorate the beautiful streets that turn downtown into a gather point of a multicultural group. Starting with Buzios’s coast, we have some sophisticated sea restaurants… From thematic surroundings, orchestrated with music and modernity, cuisines get an exotic change, even aphrodisiac to some of us… We can see tables placed on the sand, on decks or on the sidewalk, some even by a panoramic view, or even inside beautiful lounges making together the Buzios culture. Be you the person you are, the city can offer you a special food. So are you ready to give it a try?
The best time for those who enjoy culinary art and the most eccentric cuisines is the “Degusta Búzios” week, when some of the restaurants place little tents selling sophisticated dishes, serving small tries, at really low prices. If you wish to know the eccentricity of great chefs, that’s your opportunity.
The trade, fitting between a dance club and a pub, holds an infinite variety: all kinds of stores, banks, travel and renting agencies, craft stores… All of it in a kind and cool-hearted city. It’s worth visiting the most frequented craft exposition, located in Praça Santos Dumont, downtown’s heart, where you can also find Grand Cine Bardot, a cozy theatre, stage to huge festivals.
Dancing, eating, chatting, flerting, buying or just taking a walk… Be it any wish you may have, this city is ready to make it come true… The trick is very simple: from anywhere around the world, your destiny is… Armação de Buzios. Sure to be a great trip!
